Outcome of March 2019 Research Incentive Grants Round
Following the March 2019 deadline for the Research Incentive Grants and a thorough peer review process, the Trust is pleased to be able to support a total of 49 new projects led by Early Career Researchers in the Scottish universities. The successful projects, covering a wide range of academic disciplines, received funding totalling £561,916 with an average grant value of £11,468.
In this round:
- 150 applications were submitted;
- 2 applications were judged ineligible and a single withdrawn prior to review;
- 75 were short-listed for panel review;
- 49 awards were made, 27 of these were in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and 22 in Science, Engineering and Technology.

The next deadline for applications is 11th September 2019. Following a short internal review, the maximum grant value has been raised to £15,000 ahead of the March deadline. Visit the Research Incentive Grants page to learn more about the scheme.
