Over the years, the Trust has funded thousands of undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Scottish universities. Today we rely on a database but the index cards used to record the awards made from 1901 to the early 2000s have been preserved electronically. We are now making it possible for former grant recipients, or their descendants, to request a scanned copy of the index card relating to them.

Thursday 25th June, 6pm, Kelvin Gallery, University of Glasgow. Microbes, including bacteria play a major role in both infectious diseases and human health.  New technologies have allowed us unprecedented insights into how these organisms affect our health.  This lecture will provide an overview of this area, including infectious pathogens, and the remarkable role we now realize the microbiota plays in how we function, and even affecting society.
