The Trust is now accepting applications for the next round of Research Incentive Grants. Submissions are open until the closing date of 15th March 2018 at 5pm. The purpose of the Research Incentive Grants (RIG) scheme is to make it possible for an Early Career Researcher to undertake, as the Principal Investigator, a short research project, either of a stand-alone nature or in the form of an initial study that could be expected to lead to a more extensive project.
The principal criterion for the award of a RIG is that the planned research is of excellent quality, will enable the principal investigator to develop a new project or line of research and is likely to lead to high quality outputs and outcomes. Research Incentive Grants are tenable between 1 and 12 months. The maximum award that can be applied for is £10,000 and the minimum is £1,500. Up to 70 new projects may be funded in this round.
