  • Undergraduate Tuition Fee Grants 2017-18 16 May

    Undergraduate Tuition Fee Grants are intended for students who do not receive SAAS tuition fee support due to previous study, academic repeats or residency issues. Application forms and guidelines for the 2017-18 academic year are now available on the Trust's website.

  • Important changes to eligibility for Research Incentive Grants 28 Apr

    As previously announced, the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland is in the process of reviewing its grant portfolio as part of a general strategic planning exercise. Important changes to the eligibility criteria for the Research Incentive Grants are being implemented ahead of the September 2017 deadline.

  • New partnership to support academically talented asylum seekers 27 Apr

    The Trust is delighted to announce a new partnership with the University of Strathclyde to improve educational opportunities for talented asylum seekers who have attended secondary school in Scotland. As part of the partnership, the Carnegie Trust will contribute a tuition fee grant of up to £1,820 each to students in receipt of the Strathclyde’s Asylum Seeker Scholarship.

  • Welcome to Prof Claire Kramsch, Carnegie Centenary Professor 2017 28 Mar

    The Trust is delighted to welcome Carnegie Centenary Professor, Claire Kramsch (UC Berkeley) on her arrival in Scotland. Professor Kramsch will be based at the University of Stirling for four months during which she will contribute to the development of research methodology for languages research and support academics in Education and Modern Languages in developing knowledge and understanding of social cultural theory.

  • Final Carnegie Centenary Professorships Awarded 03 Mar

    The Trust has made two awards from the 2016 round of nominations under the Carnegie Centenary Professorships scheme. The successful nominees are Professor Leo Hollberg and Professor David B Dunson.
