The Trust is delighted to announce the project titles and teams of researchers awarded Collaborative Research Grants for the 2016-17 round. 

This year, 85 applications were received by the deadline of 31st January and the final awards have now been made. The Trust made nine awards with lead applicants from six different scottish universities and collaborators from 13 universities. 

11 scottish universities are represented over the nine collaborations. 

A full report can be downloaded containing deatils about the awarded projects and teams as well as statistical information about the round as a whole. 

As announced back in February 2017, the 2016-17 round of Collaborative Research Grants was last one before the scheme was terminated.

    The Trust is delighted to announce the project titles and teams of researchers awarded Collaborative Research Grants for the 2016-17 round. A total of 85 applications were submitted this year and 9 projects were selected for funding, with lead applicants from the universities of Abertay, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Strathclyde and West of Scotland collaborating with academics based in Scotland and beyond.

    The Carnegie Trust's latest Annual Trustees' Report for 2015-16 is now available to read online. The report provides details of the Trust's grant making activities, totalling £2,452,807 for the financial year ending 30th September 2016. It also highlights individual projects supported through the Trust's research funding schemes and includes interviews with undergraduate and postgraduate students.

  • 79 Vacation Scholarships awarded for summer 2017 31 May

    The Carnegie Trust has awarded 79 grants to undergraduates in the Scottish universities under its highly sought after Undergraduate Vacation Scholarship scheme. Students at all of the fifteen Scottish universities will be conducting individual research projects during the summer months.

  • Undergraduate Tuition Fee Grants 2017-18 16 May

    Undergraduate Tuition Fee Grants are intended for students who do not receive SAAS tuition fee support due to previous study, academic repeats or residency issues. Application forms and guidelines for the 2017-18 academic year are now available on the Trust's website.

  • Important changes to eligibility for Research Incentive Grants 28 Apr

    As previously announced, the Carnegie Trust for the Universities of Scotland is in the process of reviewing its grant portfolio as part of a general strategic planning exercise. Important changes to the eligibility criteria for the Research Incentive Grants are being implemented ahead of the September 2017 deadline.
