Anna Shepherd, known as Nan, the Scottish novelist and poet is going to be featured on the new £5 RBS banknote.
The Trust funded Nan between 1912 and 1915 while she studied at the University of Aberdeen. She went on to teach and was awarded an honorary doctorate in 1964 by the University of Aberdeen.
Her most famous work "The Living Mountain" published in 1977 is a reflection on her times in the Cairngorm Mountains during the Second World War.
