Scottish University Graduates

Graduates of a Scottish university may also apply for Carnegie Research Grants for personal research, personally conducted. Those graduates who are studying for a postgraduate degree can apply only if they hold a Carnegie or Caledonian Scholarship or a Studentship awarded by a Scottish University or are self-funded. Those not resident in Scotland can be considered only if their work is of benefit to the Scottish universities.

The Trust does NOT assist with attendance at conferences or with the holding of conferences in Scotland or with bringing scholars from abroad. Purchase of equipment and consumables and services such as carbon dating, payments to research assistants, secretarial and technical assistance are all excluded.
